Anti-Yasukuni Candle-light Vigil kicks off on May 7




The Candle-light Vigil against Yasukuni was scheduled in Germany (BerlinHeidelberg) this year in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the action launched by the people in the East Asian region and 70 years after the end of the World War II.
 This action, which was realized by the joint project of citizen groups in Japan, South Korea and Germany, includes symposiums and candle-light vigil along with a commemorative event marking the 70th anniversary of Germanys defeat.
 On the first day, a symposium titled, German oak in the Yasukuni Shrine~70 years since the end of the war, and a long shadow covering the history of East Asia and Europe.
 In a session called Spirits of the war deadfrom compulsory service to compulsory enshrinement, a documentary film AnyonSayonara (meaning  Goodbye) was screened. LEE Heeja from South Korean and SUGAWARA Ryuken from Japan, whose families were enshrined in Yasukuni, offered their testimony. (By Lee)   

 反ヤスクニキャ ンドル行動 in ドイツ~5月7日にスタート

 戦後70年、東アジア4地域による反ヤスク ニキャンドル行動10年を記念して、今年のキャンドル行動はドイツ(ベルリン・ハイデルベルク)で開催 されることになった。日本と韓国、そしてドイツ現地の市民団体の共同企画で実現した今回の行動は、5月 8日のドイツ敗戦70年記念行事に合わせて、その前後にシンポジウムやキャンドル行動が行われる。5月7日 (木)の第一日目には、「靖国神社にあるドイツの樫の木~戦後70年、そして東アジアと欧州の過去を覆 う長い影」をテーマにシンポジウムが開催された。午前中に「靖国の英霊たちー強制徴兵から強制合祀ま で」セクションで、ドキュメンタリー映画『あんにょん・サヨナラ』を上映し、その後靖国に家族が合祀 されている韓国側のイヒジャさん、日本側の菅原龍憲さんの遺族証言と討論が行われた。(李)
